I live in Belgium, but I’m originally from Auvergne. I’d owned a gravel bike for three years. I liked the idea of cycling, but honestly, since I’m not very athletic, every ride was a struggle. I often came home exhausted, without really wanting to do it again.
What I love most isn’t performance or speed. It’s the small paths, the forests, the landscapes, the quiet, and the pleasure of being outdoors.
By chance, I came across Cyrusher. I liked the design, watched several videos, read reviews, and then decided to order a black Aura.
From the very first ride, I knew it was exactly what I needed. The electric assistance doesn’t do everything for you: you really do pedal, you still get some exercise, but you enjoy the ride much more. Hills are no longer a source of stress, and the paths become an invitation to explore.
Today, I come back from every ride with the same feeling: I feel better in my body, but especially in my head. It’s become my time to disconnect from work, breathe, and enjoy nature.
The funny thing is that my father, who lives in Auvergne, bought the exact same bike, but in blue. When I go to stay with him for a few days, I find the landscapes of my childhood again… on the same bike. It’s become a real pleasure that we share together.
And there’s someone else Cyrusher managed to convince: my wife. She didn’t like cycling. To her, it was tiring and pointless. I let her try my Aura… and the result was immediate. Today, she regularly goes on rides of about thirty kilometers, at least twice a week. Honestly, I never would have imagined that.
I sometimes hear comparisons with much higher-end mountain bikes. Yes, the Aura is probably not the best mountain bike on the market. It’s not a competition bike. But that’s not what I’m looking for. For its price, it is incredibly versatile. It takes me just as easily along Belgian country lanes as it does over the volcanic tracks of Auvergne, with a comfort and riding pleasure that makes me want to head out again every time.
If I had to give a piece of advice to someone who is hesitating, it would be simple: don’t buy a Cyrusher if you’re just looking for a bike. Buy one if you’re looking for a reason to get out more often, to discover new places, and to rediscover the joy of riding.
For the future, I’d like to see a more complete Cyrusher app, with real GPS navigation, more detailed ride statistics, and maybe even challenges between users. That would be the finishing touch.
I wouldn’t say Cyrusher changed my life. But it has changed the way I experience my free time. And for me, that’s already huge.
