Brake pads are crucial for the safety of e-bikes. As the characteristics of brake pads wear down over time with prolonged riding, this post will share tips on when and how to replace them.
Materials
There are three main types of brake pads:
- Organic: Quiet and great initial bite, but wear faster
- Metallic: Longer-lasting and better in wet conditions, but noisier

6. Reinsert the cotter pin and bend it back
7. Remount the caliper
8. Adjust as needed
Tips
