Riding Requirements
While the trail is embracing the eBike wave, there are a couple of things to keep in mind to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment:
-
Control your speed. Stick to the 15 mph speed limit. It’s there to keep you and others safe.
-
Throttle responsibly. Keep the speed in check, especially in busy or crowded areas.
-
Stay right, pass left (don’t forget your ‘on your left!’)
-
Yield to our walking buddies
-
Motorized no-nos: Class III eBikes, electric scooters, one-wheels, and fully electric or gas-powered techs are off the guest list
The green light for Class II eBikes on Sioux Falls’ trails is a bold step forward. It opens up new possibilities for commuting, recreation, and exploration – all while being kind to our planet. Let’s make the most of it, ride respectfully, and show how eBike communities can lead by example.
