From Heart Attack to Cyrusher Glory: How My Kommoda Helped Me Rebuild My Life

From Heart Attack to Cyrusher Glory: How My Kommoda Helped Me Rebuild My Life

In late 2024, I had a heart attack.

Physically, I survived it. Mentally, it knocked the confidence out of me.

For a while afterwards, I genuinely felt as though the active and capable version of me had disappeared. Things I had previously taken for granted suddenly felt uncertain. I worried about my health, my future, and whether life would ever feel properly normal again.

At times, I honestly thought the best part of my life might already be behind me.

But recovery did not arrive through one huge, dramatic moment. It happened slowly — one decision, one mile and one small victory at a time.

Eventually, I had a slightly mad idea.

I would get on an e-bike, become a food-delivery rider and film the experience for YouTube.

That idea became JustReef Delivery.

At first, it was simply a way to get outside, become more active and earn some money. But it quickly became much more than that.

Riding gave me a reason to leave the house. Delivering gave my days purpose. Filming gave me something creative to focus on, and uploading the videos allowed me to share the ups, the disasters, the laughs and the reality of working as an e-bike courier.

It helped me feel useful again.

It helped me trust my body again.

Most importantly, it helped me feel like myself again.

Why I Chose the Cyrusher Kommoda

Delivery work can be demanding on both the rider and the bike.

A normal working day can involve dozens of miles, poor road surfaces, hills, heavy delivery bags, repeated stops and starts, and the wonderfully unpredictable British weather.

I needed a bike that did not feel like a fragile weekend toy. I needed something comfortable, capable and strong enough to become a real part of my working life.

That is what attracted me to the Cyrusher Kommoda 3.0.

The first thing people notice is its appearance. It has real presence. The fat tyres, full suspension and distinctive frame make it stand out immediately.

But for me, the Kommoda is not simply something that looks impressive.

It is my work vehicle.

It carries me through long delivery shifts, over uneven paths, along roads and through the everyday punishment that comes with courier work. The suspension and larger tyres make a huge difference to comfort, especially when I am spending hours in the saddle.

After a heart attack, comfort and confidence matter.

The Kommoda makes me feel planted, secure and capable. Instead of worrying about every bump or rough section of road, I can concentrate on the journey, the delivery and the video I am creating.

More Than Just an E-Bike

Since becoming a delivery rider, I regularly cycle distances that the version of me recovering from a heart attack would probably never have believed possible.

Some working days are around 30 miles. Other days go beyond that.

Those miles are not meaningless numbers.

Every one of them represents progress.

They represent me refusing to sit still and accept that my life had become smaller.

The bike has helped me improve my fitness, lose weight and become more active. I am also managing type 2 diabetes, so having work that naturally keeps me moving has become an important part of looking after myself.

I am not an athlete. I am not pretending every ride is easy, and I still have days when my body reminds me that I am no longer 25.

But I am out there.

I am moving.

I am working.

I am creating.

And I am enjoying my life again.

That means more to me than I can properly put into words.

The JustReef Delivery Journey

I started my YouTube channel as a small creator with no idea whether anyone would care about watching a middle-aged bloke riding around Hampshire delivering burgers and shopping.

Apparently, some people do.

The channel has grown into a little community of viewers who follow the delivery challenges, the strange orders, the good days, the terrible days and the occasional spectacular Reefy mistake.

I film the reality of delivery work rather than pretending everything is perfect.

Sometimes the apps send me somewhere ridiculous. Sometimes restaurants lose orders. Sometimes customers live at the top of a hill that feels as though it was designed specifically to punish delivery riders.

And sometimes everything clicks, the weather is good, the jobs keep coming in, and I remember how lucky I am to be outside doing something I genuinely enjoy.

One of the most meaningful parts of this journey has been hearing from viewers who say the videos have encouraged them to get outside, try an e-bike or make a positive change in their own lives.

I recently met a viewer in person who had been genuinely excited to meet me. Her mum was with her and seemed just as pleased for her.

That moment hit me far harder than I expected.

I am still a small creator, so the idea that something I made could matter to another person is difficult to describe. It reminded me that this journey is no longer only about my recovery.

By sharing it honestly, perhaps I can help somebody else believe that their own adventure is not over either.

Becoming Part of Cyrusher

When Cyrusher welcomed me as an ambassador, it felt surreal.

Two years earlier, after my heart attack, I had lost so much confidence and wondered what I could still contribute.

Now a company whose bike had become a genuine part of my everyday life was supporting my journey and trusting me to represent its name.

Receiving my Cyrusher package and recognition was not simply another parcel arriving at the door.

It felt like somebody had looked at what I was building and said:

We see you. Keep going.

For a huge creator, brand support might feel normal.

For me, it was enormous.

I will always be grateful for it.

I do not want to promote something by pretending it is perfect. I want people to trust what I say. My viewers know that when something goes wrong, I will say so, usually using language that Cyrusher probably should not include in its official advertising.

But that honesty is exactly why my support for the Kommoda means something.

I use it in the real world.

It earns its place in my life every time I take it out for another delivery shift.

My Most Memorable Rides

There is not one single dramatic ride that defines what the Kommoda means to me.

It is the collection of ordinary rides.

It is leaving home early in the morning when the roads are quiet.

It is riding through Waterlooville with my delivery bag loaded and the cameras running.

It is reaching a customer after a long climb and knowing that I still managed it.

It is finishing a shift, looking at the distance travelled and realising that my heart attack did not get to decide how the rest of my story would be written.

There have also been rides where I have travelled farther from home, explored new areas and filmed experiences I would once have avoided.

Each ride has expanded my world a little more.

The Kommoda has not magically removed every difficulty from my life, but it has given me the confidence and ability to keep moving through them.

What Riding Means to Me Now

Before my heart attack, riding a bike would simply have been an activity.

Now it represents freedom.

It represents independence, health, work, creativity and recovery.

It has also shown me that starting again does not mean returning to exactly who you were before.

Sometimes you build somebody new.

The person I am now is more grateful, more determined and probably slightly more ridiculous.

I talk to cameras while carrying strangers’ dinners around Hampshire. I set myself delivery challenges. I celebrate earnings that would not impress a billionaire but mean everything to a small independent courier and creator.

And I have found a version of life that makes me genuinely happy.

My Advice to Someone Considering a Cyrusher

My advice would be to think honestly about how you plan to use the bike.

Do not only look at specifications on a screen. Think about comfort, terrain, distance, stability and how the bike will fit into your real life.

A Cyrusher is a substantial bike. That presence is part of what makes it comfortable and confidence-inspiring, but buyers should understand its size and weight and choose the model that suits them properly.

For somebody who wants a comfortable, capable e-bike that can handle longer journeys and rougher everyday conditions, I believe the Kommoda deserves serious consideration.

Most importantly, do not assume e-bikes are cheating.

For many people, electric assistance is what makes riding possible.

It helps people ride farther, get outside more often, tackle hills, recover confidence and replace journeys they might otherwise make by car.

The motor does not remove the adventure.

It opens the door to it.

What I Would Like Cyrusher to Keep Improving

I hope Cyrusher continues listening closely to the riders who use these bikes every day.

Clear support, easy access to replacement parts and strong long-term service are just as important as exciting new models.

I would also love to see even more practical accessories designed around people using Cyrusher bikes for commuting, carrying equipment and delivery work.

The bikes already attract adventurous riders, but there is also a huge opportunity to support people who rely on them as genuine daily transport.

That includes people like me.

The Adventure Isn’t Over

My story began with something frightening.

A heart attack made me question my body, my confidence and my future.

But it did not end there.

It led me to an e-bike, delivery work, a YouTube channel, a growing community and eventually the Cyrusher Kommoda 3.0.

I am now riding, working and creating more than I would once have thought possible.

I still do not know exactly where this journey will take me.

Maybe it will lead to bigger adventures, more viewers and new opportunities.

But whether that happens or not, the most important prize has already been won.

I got my life back.

And this time, I am enjoying the ride.

I am the happiest I have ever been. Thank you Cyrusher.

The adventure isn’t over.
