An inappropriate saddle height can negatively impact your riding posture, leading to issues such as knee pain, lower back pain, pelvic tilt, reduced riding efficiency, abnormal leg fatigue, and various other problems. If you experience discomfort after riding, consider adjusting your seat height.
Adjusting Saddle Height
Method 1:
Sit on the bike and position your heels at the lowest point of the pedal travel (the 6 o’clock position). Your leg should be fully extended when your heel is on the pedal. When you place your foot on the pedal, your knee should be slightly bent. Make fine adjustments based on your riding preferences.
Method 2:
Stand next to the bike and raise the saddle until it is parallel with your hip. Then, sit on the bike and follow the heel method to check your knee flexion. Make any additional adjustments as needed.
