The Virginia Creeper Trail is a scenic 34-mile (56 km) multi-use trail located in southwestern Virginia, stretching from Abingdon to Whitetop Station, near the North Carolina border. Whitetop Station**, near the North Carolina border.
As a scenic part of southwestern Virginia, it attracts many visitors. It is a biking trail converted from an old railway bed, and along the way, riders can enjoy dense forests, rolling hills, and learn about the history of the historic railway.
Attractions along the way include Damascus, Abingdon, Whitethorpe Station (visitor center) and Green Cove Station (the only original station building). The trail attracts many cycling enthusiasts with its breathtaking scenery and gentle riding experience. The 17-mile section between Abingdon and Damascus from the start to the center is now open to e-bikes.
The Virginia Creeper Trail is suitable for riders of all skill levels, with mostly flat terrain that is very easy to drive, making it easy to explore further and reduce fatigue with the assistance of an e-bike.
